Job duties and responsibilities:
- Massage soft body tissues to relieve discomfort and provide treatment for injuries, wellness maintenance or medical conditions.
- Apply pressure to specific parts of the body with the hands and fingers to release muscle tension and bring relief from related symptoms.
- Discuss client concerns, medical histories and specific stresses or pains to develop the most effective approach to massage treatment.
- Develop personalized treatment plans for individual clients that specify massage types, treatment areas and treatment frequency. Consult with staff members for help with treatment plan development, if applicable.
- Must maintain high level of confidentiality due to nature of environment.
- Change linen and clean, disinfect and sanitize massage table between clients and prepare for next appointment.
- Refer clients to other professionals and therapists when appropriate and necessary to treat additional symptoms.
- Perform other treatment techniques and therapies in addition to massage.

Required:
- Hold current state of Wisconsin massage therapy license
- Adhere to all current regulations and laws related to massage therapy
- Ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality
- Ability to pass a background check
- Hold professional liability insurance as an independent contractor
- Assess and treat individuals with mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems, including abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other drugs.
- Activities may include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education.
- Counsel clients in individual or group sessions to assist them in dealing with substance abuse, mental or physical illness, poverty, unemployment, or physical abuse.
- Develop and modify treatment plans with input from client and changes in client status.
- Assist clients in adhering to treatment plans, such as setting up appointments, arranging for transportation to appointments, or providing support.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress with respect to treatment goals.
- Counsel and/or support family members to assist them in understanding, dealing with, and supporting the client.
- Any other duties deemed necessary to perfom job
Required:
- Master's degree in counseling or related field.
- Hold current state of Wisconsin LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license
- Adhere to all current regulations and laws related to professional counseling
- Ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality
- Ability to pass a background check
- Hold professional liability insurance as an independent contractor
